In English
Because black and white doesn’t embellish emotion. It strips away color and leaves only light, shadow and the bare truth. For me, black and white means leaving the city’s hard face, people’s silence and the inevitable weight of the moment just as they are.
Black-and-white street photography by İlker Çetin, in eight series: We Are Mere Likenesses, Solitude in the Sky, The Faceless, Reflections, Labour and Humanity, Minimal World, Depths of My Mind and Voice of the Street.
